Step 2: Waking the Tea

  • Add the tea leaves to the heated teaware.

  • Pour 120 ml of 80°C hot water (use still/spring water for the best results).

  • Cover the lid and gently shake to awaken the tea’s aroma and flavours.

Step 3: Brewing the Tea

  • Brew for 10s, then quickly pour out all the tea into a warmed cup. (For a stronger taste, allow the tea to brew longer to intensify its richness and depth.)

  • Ensuring the remaining tea in the teaware is fully drained to avoid affecting the flavour of the next infusion.

  • With 3 g of tea leaves, you can enjoy up to 5 infusions. Each infusion reveals a unique layer of flavour.

  • For subsequent infusions, adjust the steeping time based on the previous infusion; gradually increase the steeping time by 5-7 s with each round. From the 5th infusion onwards, raise the water temperature to above 95°C.

  • Avoid letting the tea leaves steep too long to preserve their delicate balance of flavours.
